In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, MentalHappy presents a Community-wide Support Group event led by Dr. Tanya Younger-Gilbert
Researchers have noted there is a link relationship between self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and anger. These conditions are complex, multi-dimensional constructs with multiple sources widely recognized as a central aspect of psychological functioning and well-being and are strongly related to various psychological issues, lower academic achievement, substance abuse, loneliness, teenage pregnancy, and criminal behavior.
During this in-depth 90-minute peer support group discussion, Dr. Tanya will lead the group in a talk explaining the link relationship between self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and anger.
There will be 30 minutes for Q&A and 15 minutes of open discussion from the attendants.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Differentiate between depression and anxiety.
Relate anger to depression and anxiety.
Understand the strategies required for managing different types of anger.
